At any one time in the UK, there are a small number of musical youngsters who are exceptionally talented beyond their years.

If these children are skilled in classical, orchestral instruments or classical/church music, then there is a well-trodden path for them to follow :-

• established, funded resources

• conservatoires, youth orchestras / choirs etc.

However, if these children are skilled in pop / rock / contemporary music, then, for them and their parents, there is no clear path to follow.

Instead, they are left to fend for themselves, in the potential unknown environment of the music industry :-​​

• without professional support,

• without a source for information / guidance, 

• relying purely upon their own resources​
